Turf Products remanufactures triplex greensmowers and sand
rakes . Our process provides you with "new machine" quality and
warranties at a savings of 30-40% over the cost of purchasing new
equipment.
Our process
starts with a "core unit" that has been provided to us as part of
our exchange program. The core is completely disassembled down to
the bare frame. Broken and worn-out components are discarded. The
valve bank is sent to our hydraulic shop for remanufacturing, while
the frame is sandblasted to remove all old paint and rust. The unit
then moves on to the welding shop.
The Welding Shop -
better than new!
Initial inspection tells us if the frame is satisfactory to begin
remanufacturing. If so, all existing welds are inspected and proper
alignment is verified. The frame is then reinforced in areas of
inherent weakness. If required, older frames are then modified to
accept new 16 or 20 hp Vanguard engines and new-style fuel tanks.
Every frame that goes through this process is improved, updated and
strengthened. We warrant each frame for three years against
breakage!
The Hydraulic Shop
In the hydraulic shop, the valve bank is completely disassembled,
cleaned and inspected. We then install top-quality Viton(R) O-rings
and Teflon backups. All of the relief settings are verified and all
seals are replaced. After assembly, all valve bodies are dynamically
checked for proper function before being sent on for installation.
We also
offer our remanufactured valve banks for resale on an exchange
basis, in addition to testing reel motors and main pumps to be sold
as "good used" components.
Subassembly
In our subassembly area, all new bushings are installed into the
main frame and lifting components. We use self-lubricating
oil-impregnated bronze bushings to reduce future maintenance
requirements. The frame is then primed and painted with a high
quality acrylic enamel, before moving on to final assembly.
Final Assembly
Remanufactured triplex greensmowers are assembled with the
following:
- 16 hp Vanguard engine with 2-year warranty, new fuel tank,
muffler and exhaust system
- new Webster main pump, new wheel motors and hydraulic
cylinders

new bushings, pins and shafts
- new electrical system, amp and hour gauges
- new deluxe seat
- new brake assemblies
- new throttle, choke and steering cables
- new battery and cables
- new tires and rims
- completely remanufactured valve bank
- completely reinforced, sandblasted, primed and painted main
frame
- cutting units: new reels, bearings and seals, bedknives,
adjustment knobs, screws and brackets, and new Lubrilite rollers
Remanufactured Sand Rakes are assembled with:
- new 16 hp Vanguard engine with 2-year commercial warranty
- new throttle and choke cables
- new muffler
- new Sundstrand hydrostat
- new hydraulic hoses and fittings, hydraulic cylinders, wheel
motors
- reinforced and sandblasted main frame with high quality
paint finish
- new battery and cables
- new bushings, bearings and seals
- new steering chain sprocket, control rods
- new steering wheel, deluxe seat, tires and rims
- new rake lift bar, drag cables and rake blades
Quality Control and Testing, and
Shipping
Every greensmower and sand rake that we build is tested
against a 50-point checklist so that we are certain every unit
functions as it should, and any problems are found before you get
your machine.
Our
shipping department has designed a pallet that allows us to ship the
mower to you fully assembled. when you receive your shipment, just
remove the packaging and drive your new remanufactured machine off
the pallet. Each machine is shipped with a pre-operational checklist
for you to perform, which takes approximately two hours to prepare
your machine for service.
